FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How do I schedule a tour?

A. Please contact us by phone or email as we offer tours by appointment only. We are working around private events and showing dates and time can differ. Weekends are our peak busy times so viewing on the weekend is sometimes unlikely. We typically offer a weekday evening and two weekday afternoons for tours, but we're sensitive to your busy schedule and will do our best to accommodate requests.

 

Q. What is required to reserve a date?

A. Upon signing the bash rental agreement, you will view an itemized invoice for your party. 30% of the total invoice will be due to reserve the date. Your remaining balance will be due in full 10 days prior to your event date. All payments can be made online via credit card or you are welcome to pay by check or cashier's check.

 

Q. What if I need to cancel my event?

A. The deposit less a $150 handling fee is refundable if the event is canceled 60 days prior to the reserved date. Cancellations within 60 days will result in retention of full 30% deposit.

Q. Can The Wild Thyme Company accommodate dietary restrictions?

A. Yes! Whether your vegan or gluten free or anything in between we can accommodate any dietary or allergy restrictions upon request. Please be sure to communicate any questions or concerns to your sales manager. 

Q. What if I want something different than what is listed on your menu?

A. We offer custom menu options upon request. Your sales manager can work with you to come up with a delicious menu to wow your guests!

 

Q. Is alcohol allowed?

A. Yes! You provide it, we serve it! We also offer bar kits that include all the (non-alcoholic) essentials.

 

Q. Where do my guests park?

A. We do not have a private parking lot, however, there is ample street parking as well as a large Ace parking lot across the street that is $3 - $5 (flat rates). Please always pay attention to both the Ace lot and public street signage for posted rules, time restrictions and other city/owner regulations.

 

Q. What are the measurements of:

A. Chalkboard: 8ft x 8ft

Main room: 1200 sq ft

Bar: 8ft long x 3ft

Farm Tables: 9ft long x 3ft

 

Q. Does bash have air conditioning?

A. Yes! Please take into consideration that people create body heat so on hot days the room may still feel warm even with the AC working hard. It will always be cooler inside than it is outside! Recent temperatures in San Diego are unlike years past. We do have 3 ceiling fans in the room and a free standing fan to help circulate the air and keep you and your guests comfortable. Please always dress accordingly to your comfort level and know we do our best to be accommodating with climate changes that are out of our control.

 

Q. Can I use nails, tacks, or tape on the walls? or hang things from the ceiling?

A. Thank you for understanding that to keep the boutique looking nice we do not allow tacks, nails or tape. You are welcome to bring in command strips to use on walls as they are easily removable and do no harm.  For your safety we do not provide a ladder to hang items from our high ceilings. These arrangements can be made when adding coordination for party decor through bash at the quoted coordination fee for services related to your party.

 

Q. How late at night can we have our party?

A. Parties must conclude by 11:00pm to meet local noise ordinances. Great news is, if you still want to continue the party there are many late night options within walking distance!

 

Q. What cleaning is required of me after my party?

A. We kindly ask that you bag up any trash (cups, plates, napkins, bottles, etc.) and we have a dumpster onsite. You will take out everything you brought in and essentially leave the room as you found it. Your cleaning fee will go towards the next layer of cleaning: sweeping, mopping, wiping down tables and chalkboard, & cleaning restroom. We do require that any dishes you borrow/rent are rinsed and placed in dishwasher to avoid additional cleaning fees.

 

Q. When will I get my photo booth pictures?

A. Photo booth pictures are sent to you in a Dropbox file to your email address on file within one week following your event.
